When I first received these I felt very taken aback and unsure of this translation, but now after having more time to check on the translations of a number of words that are translated differently than my other most trusted Bibles, I must say that I am very HAPPY to have this translation of the Bible!
There are many places the translation is SUPERIOR — for instance using the term “assembly” rather than “church” as well as many of the names.
I will need more time to get to know the HS more intimately, but I am very much looking forward to it — and I LOVE the purple cover. Mine is PU (polyurethane I think it is), and I think it is very good.
