I am sitting up reading my new Halleluyah Scriptures Bible, even as I “speak.” You are SO right! Goodness, I have to take some time to check the glossary for some words, and/or a Hebrew dictionary for some others, but for “whatever reason” (YHWH Himself, no doubt), the translation – the word choices – ever so subtly different have been giving me NEW meaning with everything I read. Truly feel for the first time the Bible is (quite literally) alive, and as you wrote, I’ve been making more sense of it – translating itself with my spirit interpreting – than I ever have. SO filling. Feeling full, satisfied… it’s sweet.
