”And Elohim shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former have passed away.” Revelation 21:4 It is with a very heavy and painful heart that we bring this very sad news to you of the passing away of this most dearest brother, Elder Yerimyah, who we loved dearly, and who not only touched our hearts deeply, but thousands of others in India. We as a team are devasted and in shock and our tears have not stopped over this sad situation that has stunned us deeply. We had a special love for this brother and worked so very closely with him and he bought a joy to us all, for he shone YHWH’s love. We as a team called him ‘Banner Elder’ due to him using a banner with the Names of the Father and Son to proclaim Truth where ever he preached and he was elderly. So we came to use the name Banner Elder.
“We could not believe. Elder YerimYah (banner elder) just emailed us yesterday with pictures of orphans, poor children from believing families and widows that he was feeding this week. He has been a very faithful brother in distributing Bibles and also taking care of orphans, the truly poor and widows.” – Message from Missions team organizer.
Our work in India will never be the same without him, for he is truly a rare find. There are very few in this world that would give up their whole life to do such work; to take the very poor, orphans and widows in when you are so poor and needy yourself. These very poor were outcast by society and left for dead by the world. Elder YerimYah was also very poor and lived in such poverty himself, but that did not stop him giving his time and energy in doing all he could to help those worse off than himself.
Special words are shared by Elder YerimYah to you and ourselves. These are very special.
…. Thank you for helping the orphans/poor children and widows in our area. I have got 40 years experience in the gospel service pertaining to the True Names, Shabbath and Laws. I spent my whole 40 year service in most cornered/poor village I have suffered many times from not having food and clothing for my family and most of the time I have no food, no clothes nor shelter I faced many troubles in YHWH’s service but I have never given up because YHWH will see all things and provides in His timing. YHWH is good and I pray He shows you all kindness … YHWH use me abundantly for Your service . Now I am 60 years age. I spent my 40 years life in the service of YHWH. I worked sincerely and faith fully .thank you family. SHALOM to you all.
Many of you have read the numerous articles on the HalleluYah Scriptures website about this dear elderly brother who we called Banner Elder. We came to know Elder YerimYah a number of years ago through another brother (below) we have been working with in India.

He had an orphan group and looked after a large number of orphans, children from believing families and widows doing so with a joyful and kind heart. Two HalleluYah Scriptures team members supported he poor,children from believing families and widows each month and in all that time, Elder YerimYah never asked for anything for himself or family, nor did he expect or even ask for the funds we sent each month, as he knew they came if the team or other supporters could afford to give, as most of us live by faith.
“Today food arranged for the orphans, the poor children and widows. Menu : Clean Meat, Dal, Curd, Rice, Children are all happy for food . at every occasion at every sunday we are arranging only local made leaf plates for food . Children are not in control while taking food on that leaf plates. so i decided to arrange them a life long arrangement for plates. so bought steel plates, glasses (50 plus) for all the orphans and widows. Thank you kindly for allowing us to buy the plates and cups. Please pray for poor children and widows as we are praying for you all.”
They were always praising and thanking YHWH for even the little they had. His life became more meaningful because he left this earth while faithfully doing YHWH’S work through Bible distribution and taking care of children from very poor believing families, orphans and widows. This is ALL that he wanted to do at his old age – he stated this the very first time we came to know him.
He said, “I want nothing for myself or wife but only to be able to do YHWH’s work, to help the orphans and widows and to spread His Truth to all that will listen to me.”
We were able, with some support a few years ago, provide some shoes for the orphans and some clothes which were received with great joy. We offered the shoes and clothes for him to give to the children and he sent many pictures of them receiving shoes and clothes. He would not take a pair of shoes as he felt it was taking away from another. He lived and walked barefoot.
“I am here walking and reaching out to 3 villages…you also know that i am living at kalakota… there are many poor children and widows who are at our mission they love YHWH. There are many being immersed from me.. i am sending the childs photographs to share with you. Thank you for helping feed the orphans and widows. Thanks to YHWH for the shoes and clothes you helped get. Please pray for the children and orphans also. YHWH also bless you , and YHWH will save the child who was in problems. The children often showed their thanks and gratitude through pictures like this and many were so thankful and grateful for the help they received, for without it they would have died. The work that Elder YerimYah did was our main orphan/widow focus as we had a special heart for his eagerness and joy he expressed all the time in being allowed to do this work. It was his whole life and he did it with such passion.
In the years we worked with him, he never asked for money or anything for himself. He was so very grateful and thankful and showed this in all his pictures. We believe that the Father showed compassion in his old age and gave his hearts desire.

Above is a picture of him hand feeding the orphans and he took extra time with the orphans that were new. He loved to teach them in the ways of YHWH and share about the Savior and would walk for miles to share from His Word and give free HalleluYah Scriptures to those who made a commitment.
This was one of the very first messages we received from him. It was not only his heartfelt prayer to do this work, but also to have a basic shelter for the children.
“Dear HalleluYah Scriptures team and Supporters, if you can permit to help them with food and drinking water and shelter this would help them so much and take the pressure off for we have struggled to provide these basic needs daily. I and my wife cannot provide them all facilities because they are in such desperate need, and they really need encouraging as it is hard for them with the loss of their parents. Please pray for them as we know you do. I want to build a shelter for their schooling and housing and to cook food in for the children. My wife agreed to help in every need for these children like water facility for washing preparation food materials etc. If YHWH willing, all above project is in my vision. Please pray for the same. Please pray for us and our service.

The orphans loved him like a dad or grandfather, as he taught them and shared with them and provided for them. The orphans were the world’s outcasts thrown away by their family after their parents died, and he loved them so very much and dedicated what life he had left in showing them love. He also had a big heart for believing children whose family could not afford to feed them, so had pity on them as well for we are instructed to look after our own.
We have shared many pictures of places the Elder YerimYah visited, many groups and Christian fellowships to share the True Names and Shabbath and His Word.
Many Indian people came to Truth through the unselfish work he did daily. You will notice in a number of pictures that he did not even have a pair of shoes and he never asked for a pair. He would walk for hours and hours to share His Truth to all that would listen. He loved the very old and the very young and would spend many hours sharing with them. We noticed after a number of months that someone had gifted him a coat and tie, which would have been a gift as he asks for nothing.
People that he visited and shared with were touched by this small elderly man. Barefoot he would travel for hours and before he had the orphans and widows, would travel by foot for days. It was his life and he loved to serve.
“I am proud to say I am praying YHWH will bless you and give you more stength. Thank you for helping the orphans and widows we are helping here. Thank you Shalom to you.”
He loved to raise his arms in praise to the Almighty for YHWH deserves all praise, honor and esteem and it was a GREAT HONOR to be able to do this service for the Father and our Savior. He loved to reach out to the lost and the downcast and was so honored to be able to help anyway he could. YHWH sure answered his prayers in allowing him to do this work for the past few years.
“Many thanks for your kind co-operation and help that you have been showing mercy upon us to provide delicious food for poor children and widows who are in hunger. We are sharing YHWH’s Word with them and teaching them from HalleluYah Scriptures.”
YHWH is good, as a stronghold in the day of distress. And He knows those who take refuge in Him. Nahum 1:7
Many in this world are given praise and glory for the works they do, but this brother has never ever asked for thanks or praise, the total opposite. He has always been humble, gentle and loving towards the very poor.
We have many pictures of places and groups he visited to share His Truth and the HalleluYah Scriptures. Many lives were changed through this dear brothers work for YHWH, many fellowships, groups and people lives have been changed.
He was welcomed to many places that most people would not be welcomed, and had a special way about himself that allowed him to get into churches to share the Names and Truth. Many weep when he spoke and shared as he is very humble, gentle and loving.

We wanted to share the above pictures of some of his visits to groups and fellowships that he went to share the Word, as it was always his heart’s desired to do this important work and he did it with great joy in his heart.
He would walk for hours and hours to reach those seeking and needing comfort and Truth. Each day was so special to him and he used each day to the fullest. One of his highlights was to email us each week with pictures and comments about his work.
This picture below are of the feeding program of the widows. They are so thankful and grateful for the meals they receive. He enjoyed sharing the love of YHWH and His Son to the widows and orphans and shared that They were wonderful providers.
He said he had a widows group of 8, but we think this grew without any mention, for his heart was huge towards the very poor. He served for 40 years and we believe he was tired, but had no one to take over this very hard work. He looked like he was older but in fact he was only around 63 when he passed away suddenly. We have been very hurt and are sad at his passing. You will notice that the children were feed indoors as this was important to him and his wife.
We received many pictures over the years of the orphans and widows and from the Elder YerimYah who took them all. When we started with support for the children, the team (personal funds) donated for some uniforms for their schooling and shoes as they had never owned shoes. The joy they expressed was so touching and the uniforms/clothes were important to them as they belonged to them. You can see these below when Elder YerimYah gave them a HalleluYah Scriptures Children’s Book.
There is nothing more rewarding than being about the Father’s business, reaching the lost and helping the very poor, orphans and widows who are the apple of His eye, and we can draw some comfort from the knowledge that we had a small hand in the work of Elder YerimYah and it has been a great honor to have come to know this very special brother. It is with tears that we say, this world has lost a very special man that had a huge heart for those who needed a helping hand in their very sad life.
Above was one of the most special days in the life of Elder Yerimyah (Elder YerimYah) as he had the honor to immerse his son and daughter-in-law. It was so very special and he spoke so fondly of this occasion. There are many in this life that pass through and are forgotten, and we truly will never forget this wonderful, dear brother and the sacrifices he made to help those in such harsh conditions and our lives here at HalelluYah Scriptures will never be the same. Our lives have been touched and we will never forget him.
He was so barak to receive a shipment of HalleluYah Scriptures to give to families at fellowships and groups he attended, and to those who made a genuine commitment. He and his wife were so touched by the large shipment.
This work is not always easy and some days are harder than others as the needs grow for His Word and many are in such desperate need. We try and do the best we can with the hours given each day 6 days a week. The workload has increased and increases daily and we need more prayer and support from you, His people. Prayer is what is urgently needed.
He would set up a banner anywhere, any place to reach out to those that need a kind word of encouragement to hear that there is a Father that loves them and a Savior that died for them. These words are powerful and he did not really mind where he set up his banner to share the Truth to a people that need hope.
We want to finish off with some very special pictures of the orphans and widows feeding program, as this is where Elder YerimYah’s heart was. We ask that you pray for his widowed wife and family and that His people will come forward and offer to take this very urgent and important work on. We really need help to support his wife and to continue this work as we just cannot see it ended. Many are depending on this help and we would like to keep the memory of this remarkable brother alive.
We have set up a special link for supporters to donate to orphans which includes this brothers work so that we can continue it. We would spread out the donations each month so that the poor believing children, orphans and widows, (including Elder YerimYah’s widow) will be taken care of. We as volunteers on this project live by faith and give all our time to this important and urgent project, so kindly ask that you would help us to continue our orphan’s work.
We have been in deep prayer over this sad situation as the orphans and widows really need our support. We have been in contact with a brother we have worked closely with for the past 5 years, and he visited the family and went to the funeral.
Elder YerimYah’s sons expressed they would like to take over from where their father left off, but do not have any regular income themselves and have to support their mother who is a widow. But they have a big heart to do this work and to also walk to places to share His Truth like their father did. We are unable to support them and would need help in continuing this legacy of love left by their father.
We feel it is important as the orphans and widows and those around them will see that YHWH has risen up others to help them in their need. We would like to be able to give them a small shelter to be able to keep warm, fed and taught, but something that is basic and not costing so much, but a place that is identified as YHWH’s place.
Here are his two son’s and Elder YerimYah’s wife, and a memory picture with flowers and a special note from us and you his supporters, at his funeral. We have his funeral pictures but prefer not to share them on the website as we have not viewed them as it is to sad right now and we are to upset.
In this world it is hard to find anyone to fill Elder YerimYah’s shoes (he did not own any) but we feel if his sons are prepared to give up their lives to continue their fathers work, that we, as His people, should try and help in any small way we can.
It is heartbreaking to the family to lose their beloved father, but most of all the children who relied on him and loved him like a grandfather.
If you can help, we have set up a page where you can donate and we will give 100% of the donations to helping the poor believing children, orphans and widows but would spread it out monthly. He was always faithful with receipts and pictures every single week, sometimes twice a week as he got so excited to share. A team member bought him a camera a number of years ago.
As we have said, the HalleluYah Scriptures project is first and foremost our number one service, but when a situation is brought to our attention, we have no options but to help. The project, through supporters and those on the team, support around 6 orphans/widows groups but Elder YerimYah’s is the one we spent most of our time with. He was always faithful with receipts and photographs as we ask this as good stewardship. He reached thousands with His Word and was never ashamed to share.
