“Remember the prisoners as if chained with them , and those being mistreated since you yourselves also are in the Body.” – Ibrim/Hebrews 13:3

HalleluYah for the work being done for prisoners all over the world, but mainly in the USA. We want to share a special letter and message from a brother who has worked in the prison system for many years. He is one of two brothers that are very dedicated in this challenging work. They go into prison regularly to share His Word and through your donations, the HalleluYah Scriptures Project has been able to gift them material to share.

They have dedicated themselves to share the Truth and go into the prisoner regularly to have studies with the prisoners. He was able to share photographs of the prisoners and an immertion of one of the prisoners. It is very rare to get photographs of prisoners and the work being done.

Scripture commands us to look after prisoners and this is important to this project. A very special thank you to those that have supported this part of the HalleluYah Scriptures project.

 Our Mission is the Great Commission

I write this with great enthusiasm about the prison ministry in Florida and the labor of love which is going on there, as we witness to these men with teachings from the scriptures, we see their lives being changed and impacted. In having such a tool as a restored version of the scriptures it is helping in shaping their lives in a wonderful way, helping to make our work possible.

The restored scriptures are a wonderful asset. As we see many being awakened through His Word and coming to understand repentance, and what is to do teshuva.

This is a very important work for it has far reaching implications as it affects not only the inmates, but their families, friends and co-workers and all who will hear, as their testimony pours out far beyond the walls of the prison even before their release dates through their personal family phone calls, and mail correspondence.  One can only imagine the impact these men can have on our society and for the expanse of His Kingdom.

And for our society to see these changed lives, this is indeed awesome and a wonderful testimony as how our Abba is working in the lives of these men. For we can see the importance of this even from the scriptures, as Prison is mentioned about seventy three times.

What comes to my mind and that has inspired me is found in a few verses such as Ibrim /Hebrews 13:3: that we should remember the prisoners as chained with them! And Tehillim/ Pslam 107: 9 “For He has satisfied a longing being, And has filled the hungry being with goodness 10. Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Bound in affliction and irons, 11. Because they rebelled against the Words of El, And despised the counsel of the Most High.12.And He humbled their heart by toil.” But we read on through to verse 20 we can see a the fulfillment which is being done in part through HalleluYah Scriptures and the Ruach Ha Kadosh in that verse twenty it reads: “He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them form their destructions.”

And we get to see this happen as we provide the HalleluYah Scriptures to these men. We are blessed to be part of this, to me this is incredible, and an encouraging way to witness to them,  that this task is being played out in our visitations to these men, and that Halleluyah Scriptures has an active part in the support of this process of their redemption.

Psalm 102:19-20 “For He looked down From the height of His qodesh place; From the shamayim YHWH viewed the earth, To hear the groaning of the  prisoner, To release those appointed to death.”

HalleluYah for this very special day above and to think this is being done in a prison! There are no fences with YHWH, nothing can lock us away from the Father and His Son for we are FREE in Him.

And we get to see this happen as we provide the HalleluYah Scriptures to these men. We are blessed to be part of this, to us this is incredible, and an encouraging way to witness to them,  that this task is being played out in our visitations to these men, and that Halleluyah Scriptures has an active part in the support of this process of their redemption.

It is very difficult to be there being separated from friends, relatives and love ones. They are there to be punished for some very serious crimes and drug offenses, and though some offenses are questionable in legalities they are there to pay their debt and to serve out their punishment.

But for us, it can be very frustrating  when we come to visit and study  with them  because  sometimes they are not called for religious service on time, in their cell blocks or dormitories, and it can be a hindrance or a speed bump as it impedes our efforts  because of very limited time  allotted to see them. In addition some of the religious groups can get resentful as some leave their groups to attend our meetings.

While these men are incarcerated they are getting trained to  learn skills to help them assimilate back into society upon their release, as disciples of Yah, our mission is not only bring them into the truth, but also to help prepare them spiritually and arm them with the Word, so that they can thwart the attacks that will come upon them from the evil one after their release.

For as it is written in Yeshayahu 42:7 “To open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.” But we can see the hunger and thirst in their hearts and minds as their eyes show the joy of sitting down with the open book in study, It’s an honor and privilege to see and to be part of this ministry. These men are often well read and studied, they have time to study and learn and so we also learn from them as well. It’s a great mutual exchange and discussion whenever we visit with them.

One inmate shared a brief testimony as to how he was enslaved to cigarettes, while he was practicing other religions, he never felt the power to give it up, but once he learned the Name and focused on His Word the desire left him, this is just one example of the power of His Word and the Ruach.   While serving in this labor of love there has been 12 men or more that have come into the knowledge and the truth with 12 being immersed there inside the prison wall, although some were released before we could even make arrangements to immerse them.

We will pray and trust that they will continue on in the truth and the faith. We have come to love and respect a good many of these inmates and what comes to mind, as we look forward to their release is that we might see some of them again and in Tehillim/ Psalm 68:6 it reads: “Elohim makes a home for the lonely;   He brings out to prosperity those who were bound in chains”.

We give praise and honor to the Most High for using this Ministry and HalleluYah Scriptures in helping to equip these men to be great testimonies of the Word, when they are released into society being productive and fruitful for Messiah and His kingdom.

We trust that we will all endeavor in the continuation of such a good work with prayers and support. It will make us all partakers of the work even if you are unable to visit these men in prison. So please remember those prison as it is mentioned in Ibrim/ Hebrews 13:3  “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them , and please remember and pray for all who serve for the for the love of Messiah.”

Let us pray for this special group and also let us not forget the prisoners as they need our prayers and support and we want to say a heartfelt deep thank you to all those that have donated to allow believers in prison receive freely. Where possible we send in other materials for them to read and learn from as YHWH is a wonderful Teacher.

We receive so many letters and requests for His Word and also many prisoners write to us to share their heart. Many of these make us cry. As we have shared with have a lovely sister who looks after all the prisoners mail and writes to them when needed. She is constantly in prayer for the prisoners.

All praise, honor and esteem to the Most High for it is He who gives us life and every breath we take is from Him. Let us rejoice each day we are alive that we have on more breath in our lungs to praise Him.
