When I first received these I felt very taken aback and unsure of this translation, but now after having more time to check on the translations of a number of words that are translated differently than my other most trusted Bibles, I must say that I am very HAPPY to have this translation of the Bible! There are many places the translation is SUPERIOR — for instance using the term “assembly” rather than “church” as well as many of the names. I will need more time to get to know the HS more intimately, but I am very much looking forward to it — and I LOVE the purple cover. Mine is PU (polyurethane I think it is), and I think it is very good. Much appreciation to all those who volunteer to make the Bible available to those who cannot afford it. HalleluYah…!
ohh…..I was not aware of the connection between the Bibles and Puerto Rico…so thank you for the reply. I did send a check, and so will wait patiently (that part is hard!!), but do understand the delay.
